Coping strategy is the way that is permorfed to change the situation or resolve the problems faced with infomration knowledge acquired. Preeliminary study on 10 people who suffer from rhematoid arthitis, for the elderly acquired 6 elderly acquired 6 elderly have strategy coping less good and impact on 2 elderly have a complication. Data from the health center said that the village Kertajaya and Kertamulya having scene rhematoid arthritis mush higher than others villages. The purpose of research to know the relationship knowledge with strategy coping from elderly with rhematoid arthritis in the village Kertajaya and Kertamulya. Quantitative research method with the design of correlational trough the approach of cross sectional desciptive.The techique of the sampling method used a non probability sample saturated with 97 for the elderly. The collection of data using quesionnaire. The results of research to the analysis of test bivariat chi-square obtained p-value = 0,000 which means there is the relationship between knowledge and strategy coping for the elderly in coping. Advice for health center continue to increase counselling and promotion in the Posbindu about rhematoid arthitis.
